Gator Gauntlet 5K
The Gator Gauntlet 5K welcomes any skill level from experienced athletes to dog walkers! Dress up like a gator, or really any crazy costume, and enjoy a fun-filled morning! A prize will be given to the most crazy costume. The 5k will be held on April 15 at 10am.

Coastal Kayaking Tour
From March thru May, enjoy a two-hour guided tour of the park’s salt marsh hosted by Black River Outdoors. This is the perfect and relaxing way to explore the beauty that makes up Pawleys Island and Litchfield Beach. Tours will be held from March through May 2023, 10am – 12pm.

Take a fascinating tour of the winter home of Anna and Archer Huntington every Saturday from 12pm-1pm and every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2pm-3pm.
Hobcaw Barony
Villages of Hobcaw
The Villages of Hobcaw will open on March 28 and on April 18, 2023, from 9:30am – 12pm. This is a rare event and highly recommended. Although Friendfield Village is the most frequented African American village at Hobcaw Barony, there are remnants of additional, hidden villages, rarely seen by the public. On this tour, participants will visit the four villages to discuss the history of each through oral interpretation as well as historical photographs of these areas.

Sweetgrass Basket Making
On April 7th, travel to Friendfield village to learn the art of sweetgrass basket making with Barbara McCormick while she shares some history! The event will take place from 12pm to 4pm.
North Inlet Estuarine Reserve

Take an exclusive kayak tour of Hobcaw Barony on May 1, May 15 or May 31, 2023 from 10:00am to 1:30pm. Hosted by Surf the Earth & North Inlet Estuarine Reserve, you’ll learn about the ecosystems that make up the area and explore a secluded barrier island with a naturalist and scientist!

Low Country Sunday Supper
Take part in a Sunday afternoon like no other! The Pawleys Island Festival of Music and Art will host several local chefs for a Low Country Sunday Supper at the Longleaf Nature Preserve, Weehaw Plantation. On April 23rd, taste from a 6-course Sunday supper menu paired with wines and other libations. Expect exquisite dining, drinks, live music, dancing and more. Event will take place at 4pm (rain date: Apr 30).

Rodin: Contemplation and Dreams
Experience world-renowned work by French artist Auguste Rodin at the Brookgreen’s Rosen Galleries Jan 28 through Apr 23, 2023. The exhibit features 45 pieces including life-size statues, portraits, figures and much more. The exhibit is open from 10am to 5pm.
