Night of a Thousand Candles is a spectacular light display held by Brookgreen Gardens every holiday season that is sure to leave you speechless. With more than 2,700 hand-lit candles and millions of sparkling lights, you can walk the paths with a warm cup of cider, cocoa, or wine in hand while listening to holiday music sung by carolers. Named “Best Christmas Lights in South Carolina” by Travel+Leisure Magazine, it’s a must-do if you’re visiting the area during the season.
Hammock Shops Christmas Village
Stop by the Hammock Shops with family and friends to enjoy the Christmas Village! Stop by the Hammock Shops every Saturday and Sunday in December and get a quick photo op with Mr. and Mrs. Claus visiting from the North Pole! A Christmas train will also be to ride to keep the kids entertained. The event will take place on December 10th, 16th, and 17th, from 1 PM – 5 PM.
MarshWalk Wonderland of Lights
Head back to MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet for another display of festive lights! The MarshWalk Wonderland of Lights is a great Christmas light walk-through experience that will feature all eight MarshWalk restaurant buildings along the boardwalk. There will also be a 40-foot Christmas tree at the end of Veteran’s Pier. Many photo ops are along the way, so have your camera ready! And make sure to stop by Santa’s Village, which includes children’s activities, visits with Santa, Christmas Characters, and much more! Admission is FREE, and the display will run from November 24 through December 31.
Candlelight Tour at the Kaminski House Museum
Come see all of the fabulous holiday decorations inside the Kaminski House Museum draped in soft, white lighting during a Candlelight Tour at the Kaminski House Museum on Thursday, December 14th from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Holiday treats and entertainment will be provided. Tickets are $12/Members and $15/Non-Members.
