Pawleys Island Dog Rules
- Dogs are allowed on the beach year round on Pawleys Island.
- From October 1 through April 30, dogs are allowed off leash but must be under voice control. You must still have a leash handy.
- From May 1 through September 30 between 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM, all dogs must be on a leash and under complete control, even in the water.
- Dogs may not be on the beach 10 p.m. to 1 hour before sunrise, Apr 15 – Oct 31.
- Dogs may not be on the beach 8 p.m. to 1 hour before sunrise, Nov 1 to Apr 14.
- Pet waste must be bagged and properly disposed by pet owner.
- No one is allowed on sand dunes, including pets.
Litchfield Beach / North Litchfield Beach Dog Rules
- Litchfield Beach is pet friendly year-round.
- Dogs must be on leash between the hours of 9AM – 7PM. Other hours, dogs may be off-leash but must be trained for voice command.
- Pet waste must be bagged and properly disposed by pet owner.
- No one is allowed on sand dunes, including pets.
