Brookgreen Garden, a nationally renowned sculpture garden, puts on a grand light show beneath ancient live oaks starting in late November through New Year’s Eve – not to be missed! Our winters are relatively mild, which means you can walk the beach, fish, kayak, and play tennis, pickleball or golf all year long!
In the Litchfield Beach/Pawleys Island area, off-season falls between October 1 and March 31. Many short-term rental beach homes offer affordable monthly stays with rates often running around 2 times the low-season weekly rate plus electric and departure clean. Rates vary depending on location and length of stay. If you can stay 90 days or longer, state and local hospitality taxes are waived.
