HOUSEKEEPING / LINENS: All short-term stays include departure clean service, bed and bath linens, and beds made upon arrival. Linens and housekeeping service are additional costs for monthly stays.

LENGTH OF STAY: Saturday to Saturday in summer. Partial week stays may be considered for last minute bookings. Monthly winter rental inquiries are welcome.

DOG FRIENDLY: This Dog Friendly home invites you to bring the whole family. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their dog. Guests bringing a dog must make it known at the time of booking and will be required to pay additional rent of $250 for one dog. Maximum 1 adult dog, 30 lbs or less. For monthly stays, additional rent is $300 for one dog. Dogs are allowed on the beach during daylight hours and must be leashed. See Pet Policy on RENTAL INFO page.

LITCHFIELD BEACH: This primarily residential community has a laidback vibe with a lot to offer, including easy access to miles of pristine beach, creek access via a small public boat launch, lush Lowcountry scenic vistas as well as a few shops and restaurants within walkable distance. Grocery stores, art galleries, prominent golf courses, historic landmarks and more are within close proximity by car.

Great little house!

"In 14 years vacationing at LB, this was our first time staying at Sam’s Place. We were a party of four. Planned on bringing our dogs (LOVE that option, thank you!), but ended up boarding them instead. This house was great for 4-6 people! The location can’t be better for off-ocean. Home was well-appointed and clean. We always bring our own mattress toppers (bad backs), so I can’t speak to comfort of the beds w/o them, but with them they were just fine. Our only complaint was the lack of shower pressure in both bathrooms. It was a trickle, truly. Hopefully, this is a fixable issue for future renters b/c it really did make showering a challenge for all. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and as always, Litchfield Real Estate was a pleasure to work with.

Delightful Rental

"First of all, Litchfield Real Estate was a delight to work with and we would use them again without question. They communicated diligently before our stay, checked on us during our stay, and made checkout very easy. This house is a perfect rental for an old school Litchfield stay. Everything was clean and the house was set up as described. The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable and this was an added bonus. The only thing we would suggest is looking into the water pressure, but we own a beach house and know this can be a frequent issue and sometimes comes with the territory. This is a quaint rental and exactly as described on website!

relaxing experience

"Good location, close to the beach. Some of the beach public entry points were closed, which made the walk to the beach a bit longer. Sam's Place is an older house, relatively basic but comfortable enough. Two screened porches are a big plus. Also liked the showers on the ground level, useful if you want to clean off sand before getting inside the house. Water pressure there is much better than in the showers in the bathrooms inside the house. The area was quiet, nice trees around. Try riding a bike on the beach, you can go quite far as the beach is flat and the sand is pounded hard - that was super nice. The neighborhood itself is quite small, located between two private gated communities/resorts, so not much walking or riding a bike on the streets. There is a public boat launching point nearby if you are into boating or kayaking.

"Great location and easy walk to beach access. We enjoyed our stay at Sam's Place it was well equipped inside. The house is an old school beach house with the flair of that era of house. The house could use ceiling fans in the bedrooms and porches.

"Our family had an amazing time staying at Sam's place. It's a cute, beach cottage super close to the beach (and beach access). The front and back porch were made for relaxing. We loved that we were able to bring our small dog with us and not have to board him. The kitchen was fully stocked with the everything we needed for meals. We enjoyed the shops and nearby restaurants at Murrell's Inlet.

"We enjoy Sam's place. It has front and back screen porches, is close to the beach, and has all the amenities we need. The furniture was updated this year and is very comfortable. The house is also conveniently located close to the local attractions we frequent, i.e. , Brookgreen Gardens, Murrell's Inlet, Georgetown. The addition of a gas grill would be nice.
