Now that Autumn is here and October is half over it won’t be long before Halloween arrives. People are usually split on this holiday with some loving it while others are indifferent to it. The popular Halloween on the Marshwalk will take place on Saturday, October 31, starting at 5 p.m. along the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk. Beginning at 5:00 p.m. there will be trick-or-treating and the Children’s Costume Contest.  Judging will be at the Pirate Statue behind Drunken Jack’s Restaurant at 6:00 p.m. Fun for the adults begins at 8 p.m. with an Adult Costume Contest. Enter to win cash and prizes with more than $2,000 to be given out for the best costumes!

Georgetown County Family YMCA and the City of Georgetown will be sponsoring a Safe and Not So Spooky Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 31. Starting at 4:30 p.m. there will be pumpkin painting and concessions. At 6:30 p.m. the Disney movie, “Hotel Transylvania,” will be shown at Rainey Park and Kaminski House lawn. Walking Shadows Ghost Tours of Georgetown will be two Halloween Ghost Tours on Saturday, October 31, 2015. A tour for those 14 years old and under will start at 7 p.m. A tour for those who are 15 years old and older starts at 9 p.m. Tours begin at 800 Front St. in Georgetown, SC (Joy filled Gifts and Yarn Shop).
