4th OF JULY… Salute From The Shore – July 4, 2025

Crowds will gather on local beaches in Garden City, Litchfield, North Litchfield, Pawleys Island and Georgetown around 1 PM for the annual Salute from the Shore on Friday, July 4.

F-16s from Shaw Air Force Base will make their way down the coastline, beginning at Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach and ending in the Beaufort/Bluffton area in the Lowcountry. Following the active military aircraft will be an all-volunteer brigade of Warbirds, a civilian-owned and flown vintage plane community that will include T-34s, T-6s, and T-28s.

The vision is to create an opportunity to honor our armed forces by organizing a synchronized “Salute from the Shore” to our troops during the military flyover along the entire South Carolina coastline on Independence Day to be shared across the nation and around the world.

You can help support Salute from the Shore by doing any or all these things:

  • Go “BIG” — Get a huge flag or get creative and head to the beach on July 4th in red, white, and blue.
  • Record your salute on camera and share it with the world – on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, a blog, or any other place you want.
  • Take photos during the event. Photos of the aircraft are great. Photos of people saluting aircraft are better.
  • Tag your Salute images and videos with #SalutefromtheShore
  • Make it personal. Whether you love someone serving overseas or remember a fallen hero, share your tribute using this page: https://salutefromtheshore.org/contact/#share-your-salute.
  • Tell organizers what you think! Send your comments to salute@salutefromtheshore.org

https://salutefromtheshore.org/

Time: Begins Friday at 1:00 PM in Cherry Grove, North Myrtle Beach

Location: Coastline of South Carolina from Cherry Grove in North Myrtle Beach to Beaufort/Bluffton area of the Lowcountry
