For those families planning on spending Spring Break at coastal South Carolina, we’ll tell you about the special events for kids taking place in the area. Some are free while others are fee-based. But all of them are going to be a whole lot of fun and can’t be enjoyed any other time than right now!   KidzTime Festival at Broadway at the Beach This annual event is free on February 20 and will include entertainment, farm animal exhibits, fire engine rides, mascots, Iron Man, and more! Event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.   Children’s Discovery Room at Brookgreen Gardens The Children’s Discovery Room at Brookgreen Gardens will share seven interactive stations for children ages 4 through 12 that help kids to learn about the rich history, nature, and art at Brookgreen Gardens. The Discovery Room is free to be enjoyed with garden admission. Open Saturday & Sunday from 12 noon to 4:30 on Feb. 20-21 and 27-28, 2016.   Ripley’s Family Fun Run The Ripley’s Family Fun Run will take place on March 4 starting at 4:30 p.m. this year.  Have your family join in the fabulous fun for a mile long run around Ripley’s Aquarium for the non-recorded race. The 1 mile run and will start and finish outside Ripley’s Aquarium at Broadway at the Beach. On-line registration closes at Midnight, EST, February 28, 2016.   Myrtle Beach Freedom Indoor Football Games Enjoy some American Indoor Football with the Myrtle Beach Freedom team in March on Sunday, March 6 from 7:05 to 10 p.m. and Monday, March 28 from 7:05 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
