May be made 24/7 online or you can call us Mon. through Sat. 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A deposit of one half the rental rate, along with a signed contract, must be received within 7 days to confirm any reservation. Rates quoted on our rental webpages are for one-week periods and are subject to 11% state and county taxes.
At the time of this posting, taxes are 11% on vacation rentals. Any SC government taxes imposed prior to your occupancy will be added to the total balance due to be paid by the guest. Taxes are collected on all rents of 90 days or less. A 7% tax is due on linen rental orders.
BALANCE DUE 30 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
The balance will be itemized on the confirmation mailed to you after receiving your deposit. Mark your calendar, WE DO NOT SEND A SEPARATE BILLING! Your deposit will include a $40 reservation fee to cover administrative cost. On reservations made less than 20 days in advance, the entire rental fee will be due in 7 days.
Payments may be made by personal check, certified funds, traveler’s checks, or cash. MasterCard and Visa are now accepted.
All reservations require a refundable security deposit of $400 unless otherwise stated. The security deposit or non-refundable waiver cannot be applied to any other rental charges due. The $400 deposit will be refunded within 30 days, less any charges for damage if necessary. Deposit refund checks will be made payable to the party under contract.
Travel insurance is your only protection for lost rent. Travel insurance charges are automatically added to the first half of your rent payment. If you don’t wish to buy this coverage, the charges may be removed simply by indicating “NO” and signing the contract. The contract must be returned to us with your deposit regardless. We strongly recommend this coverage in case there is ever a state mandatory evacuation due to severe weather or illness. If you have any questions concerning travel insurance before or even after you purchase, please call the CSA Administration directly, 866-298-6846, as our rental agents are not trained in the insurance business.
Cancellations must be received in writing either by e-mail to email@example.com or by fax to (843) 237-1513.
If you must cancel your confirmed reservation, regardless of reasons (including bad weather, illness, death, or economic factors) and the unit is not re-rented, THERE WILL BE NO REFUND. If the unit is re-rented for the same time period at the same rate, all money prepaid will be refunded, less a $100.00 handling fee. Every effort will be made to re-rent the unit. All cancellations are subject to a $100.00 handling fee.
Maximum occupancy limits will be strictly enforced!
Check-in begins at 4 p.m. Local time (Eastern). Keep in mind Saturdays in summer are the busiest check-in/out days. Housekeeping does everything possible to have accommodations ready by 4 p.m., but occasionally accommodations might not be completely finished until 5 p.m. Access to property is guaranteed only when it is clean and inspected. Guests arriving earlier than 4 p.m. are encouraged to enjoy the beach, bike trails, restaurants, and shops while waiting.
Check out is before 10:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS! We must allow time for our housekeepers to clean before the next arrival.
ABSOLUTELY NO HOUSE PARTIES
We rent to family and adult groups only. Upon detection, a group misrepresenting itself will be asked to vacate WITHOUT REFUND.
DOGS ARE PERMITTED ONLY IN DOG-FRIENDLY DESIGNATED HOMES
Dog Friendly homes invite you to bring the whole family. You are responsible for any damage caused by your dog. If a dog is brought into a non-dog friendly rental home, Litchfield Real Estate will terminate your rental without refund and charge a $300 penalty fee. Guests bringing a dog into a dog friendly home must make it known at the time of booking and will be required to pay $200 additional rent; plus an additional $100 rent for a second dog - exceptions are noted on the rental description.
FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT
Rental homes are furnished with dishes, glassware, cookware, pillows and spreads. All units are equipped with central heat and air, cable TV, dishwasher, washer/dryer, telephone, and coffee maker, unless otherwise stated in the unit description. Each unit is privately owned and furnishings and condition will vary according to the tastes and needs of the owner. If you have specific standards or requirements that must be met, we advise that you make a personal inspection of the rental property before reserving it for your vacation. WE ARE UNABLE TO MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS OR REFUNDS UPON YOUR ARRIVAL.
Due to popular demand, you will find all beds made and bath linens provided in our rental homes with only a few exceptions as noted on our website and in our brochure and except for stays of 5 days or less. If you are not sure your unit comes with linens, please call our office at 800-437-4241. Should you require additional linens during your stay, rentals are available at our office for an extra fee.
ITEMS TO BRING
Sheets and towels (if not provided), paper products, dish and laundry detergent, soap, trashcan liners, beach chairs, and everything else you need to have a great vacation. Several grocery stores are conveniently located if you choose to purchase your necessities here.
Your vacation home should be clean when you arrive. Please notify us immediately if you do not find it clean. If we have not heard from you within one hour of check in, we will assume you found the unit in acceptable condition. Only departure clean service is included in rental rates.
Upon departure, we require that all kitchenware is clean and put away, all trash bagged and placed in outside containers for pick up, and all bed and bath linens collected together in one place. A minimum $40 charge will be billed to the guest if the required guest departure clean is not completed. We also require that all windows and doors are locked and keys returned to Litchfield Real Estate by 10:00 am. There will be a charge of $10 per unreturned key; the guest may be subject to a re-keying fee.
An additional clean during your stay is available for an additional charge. Please contact the Litchfield Real Estate office for details.
LONG DISTANCE CALLS must be charged to your credit card or home number. Also be aware that local access calls to Myrtle Beach incur a per minute charge. There are local access numbers for most Internet services, and a local Verizon Internet access number that you will receive in your arrival packet. You will be charged for any long distance calls made from the unit, as well as any abuses of local access, in addition to a $10.00 service charge. The service charge will be waived if calls placed in error are reported to our office and estimated charges are paid.

If you are expecting a package, check with our office between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Since all homes have telephones, messages will be delivered only in case of emergency.

No campers or RVs are allowed on any of our rental properties. Motorcycles are not allowed in condominium developments.
