With the Christmas holiday just around the corner you’re running out of time if you haven’t figured out where or how you want to spend your Christmas and New Years Eve holiday this year. Will you be traveling to visit family? Is family coming here to visit you? Or is it all still up in the air? Many people wait until this time of the year to enjoy our Pawleys Island vacations because the beaches aren’t crowded and there are so many special events taking place now. With a wealth of holiday events taking place all over the coastal region you’ll have plenty things to do if you want to stay busy and festive. A short drive to the north is Myrtle Beach where there’s plenty of excitement going on at any given time. Here is a small sampling.
There will be complimentary Holiday Carriage Rides taking place between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. on every Saturday through December 22 at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Horse drawn carriages will stop in front of Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar and take you on a spin through the complex.
Brookgreen Gardens will open the sculpture garden for a special New Year’s Eve event. The Stroll by Candlelight at Brookgreen Gardens event will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday, December 31. Take a stroll around the gardens beautifully lit up by candles and holiday lights while listening to music. Champagne and refreshments will be available for purchase. Advanced tickets are available for $10 for members and $15 for non-members. The event has limited availability.
